Carl the Colossal Squid

Please Welcome Carl the Colossal Squid! Carl the Colossal Squid is a part of the Blue Dinosaur Crochet sea creature collection. After lots of thought in where to go next, I finally decided to make a colossal squid. I did intend for him to be a little bit bigger… Although I am quiet happy with his size!

Once finished Carl’s body measures to be 9cm, tentacles roughly 16.5cm. This totals to be 25.5cm tall. Carls body has a width of 5cm.

Before sewing each piece onto the body, I recommend that you pin them in place with sewing pins. By doing this you will be able to see how your colossal squid will look before you have begun the sewing process!
I have not added stuffing to the fins, I felt like it really didn’t need it. However this is entirely up to you! Let me know how you go and if you felt like it needed it 😊

I have not used safety eyes for Carl. However this does not mean that you cant! I have chosen to sew on my eyes with black yarn, this is because I take all of my creations to work with me and have children under three playing with all of my animals 😊

Please send me a photo of your finished colossal squid! I would love to see!!
